5G Core Developer

We’re looking for a 5G Core Developer to help design and implement private 5G network solutions for enterprise and industrial applications.

Description

• Develop and maintain 5G Core Network functions: AMF, SMF, UPF, PCF, NRF, AUSF, UDM, etc.
• Build APIs and integration layers to support orchestration and network slicing.
• Implement control and user plane separation (CUPS) in a service-based architecture (SBA).
• Containerize and deploy network functions using Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with RAN and MEC teams for end-to-end testing of private 5G networks.
• Optimize performance and troubleshoot 5GC issues in lab and production environments.
• Ensure compliance with 3GPP standards and network security protocols.
• Contribute to documentation, support, and mentoring efforts.

Required skills

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in mobile core development (4G/5G), with 1+ years in 5G SA Core.
• Solid coding skills in C/C++, Go, or Python.
• Strong understanding of 5G NR and core architecture, interfaces (N1–N12), and network protocols (GTP-U, SCTP, PFCP, HTTP/2, Diameter).
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with tools like Wireshark, Spirent, or similar for testing and analysis.
• Knowledge of deployment models: on-premises, hybrid, or fully cloud-native.
