At SSC, we provide our customers with access to Space. With over 700 employees around the world, we provide expert-level competence in customer support including the design, test, launch, in-orbit and routine operations of flight and space systems. To achieve this, SSC Connect uses our global network of ground systems and multi-mission antennas to provide satellite management, data downlink, antenna hosting and launch support to some of the largest names in the space industry including NASA, ESA, JAXA and many other New Space customers as well.

YOUR ROLE

We’re looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead one of SSC Connect’s most critical strategic initiatives. This is a large-scale, software-intensive project involving 10+ teams across multiple countries, running over several years. You will report directly to the President of SSC Connect and play a key role in driving delivery, alignment, and keeping the project on track in terms of scope and speed.

Your Main Responsibilities Will Include

  • Leading the overall planning and execution of the project in collaboration with the delivery teams.
  • Facilitating the collaboration between distributed teams across different geographies to deliver on shared goals and milestones.
  • Driving proactive risk management and ensuring timely escalations and mitigations.
  • Ensuring high project quality by managing scope, schedule, and costs through all project phases.
  • Providing clear, regular updates to executive stakeholders and steering groups.

Who You Are

We believe you are a senior project manager with a track record of delivering large, complex initiatives.

You Are Someone Who

  • Has deep experience leading large-scale software projects, ideally in international settings.
  • Understands how to successfully run projects where progress depends on deliverables from multiple agile teams.
  • Communicates with clarity and confidence – whether with team members, customers, or executives.
  • Is proactive, structured, and curious.
  • Enjoys finding smarter ways of working and isn’t afraid to challenge the status quo.
  • Balances the big picture with an eye for details and processes.

What You Need To Know

  • You hold a technical degree, such as in engineering or computer science.
  • You have experience working within an established project management framework (e.g., PPS, PMI, or similar).
  • You are well-versed in risk management and know how to anticipate and address issues before they escalate.
  • You understand and champion agile development principles.
  • You are fluent in English, both written and spoken.
