Business Data Analyst

Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Data Analyst to join our team onsite in Amsterdam. This role requires strong data analysis skills, the ability to query and correlate complex datasets from multiple sources, and collaboration with business stakeholders to extract meaningful insights. You will also be involved in data validation, visualization, and preparing data for use in dashboards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Write and optimize complex queries across various relational databases.
• Analyze and reconcile data from different systems to identify inconsistencies, missing values, and integration opportunities.
• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand domain-specific requirements and translate them into actionable data insights.
• Use Python for data manipulation, sampling, and transformation.
• Create graphs and visualizations collaboratively with users to represent analytical findings.
• Validate and refine visualizations to ensure accuracy and relevance.
• Work with data engineers to prepare and deliver cleaned data for Power BI dashboards.

Essential Skills:

• Strong experience querying and analyzing complex datasets.
• Ability to merge and reconcile data from multiple sources.
• Solid understanding of data consistency, quality, and integration principles.
• Basic proficiency in Python for data manipulation and visualization.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in English.
• Comfortable working directly with business analysts and end-users to clarify data needs.
• Full-time onsite availability in Amsterdam.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience creating dashboards or working with Power BI.
• Familiarity with SQL, DBT (Data Build Tool), or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
• Fast learner with the ability to adapt to new tools and domains quickly.
