Job Summary (Back End Developer – Wilmington, MA, Hybrid)
- Develop, maintain, and enhance back-end APIs supporting HTML/CSS/JavaScript frontends and SPAs on ASP.NET.
- Write high-quality, robust, and testable code, including building prototypes and analyzing performance issues.
- Conduct QA testing on back-end code and integrated applications to ensure reliability and performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across front-end, back-end, interoperability, and data layers.
- Derive and clarify project requirements through documentation review, business feedback, and team discussions.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, business owners, and internal team members.
- Maintain and update internal developer documentation.
- Participate in regular team activities such as meetings, code reviews, and project planning.
- Develop domain-specific knowledge to enhance application development and support.
- Assist with front-end web programming as needed.
- 3+ years of experience in backend development.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language, preferably C#, PHP, or Python.
- Strong knowledge of the software development lifecycle, tools, and techniques.
- Experience building and supporting secure web applications.
- Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments and revision control systems (e.g., Git).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Experience with C# .NET 8+ and ASP.NET.
- Knowledge of MVC/MVVC architecture and RESTful API design.
- Database experience (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server).
- Front-end experience with JavaScript/React/Blazor.
- Familiarity with Razor and Blazor frameworks.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
