Senior Golang Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Go Language Developer to join our team and spearhead the development of secure, scalable systems for managing configurations and processing observability signals in the OpenTelemetry format.

This role involves crafting RESTful APIs, implementing advanced security integrations, and optimizing performance within a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities


  • Design and implement RESTful APIs for tenants, senders, and consumers using frameworks like Gin or Echo
  • Integrate with tools such as OpenTelemetry Go SDK, embedded Kafka, and HashiCorp Vault to ensure secure, traceable communication
  • Implement mTLS for secure service-to-service communication across all components
  • Manage data models, schema migrations, and secure credential handling to maintain data integrity
  • Build unit, integration, and security tests as part of CI pipelines to uphold system reliability
  • Optimize production code for performance, scalability, and overall reliability
  • Define detailed API specifications using OpenAPI schemas and tools like swaggo
  • Develop CI/CD pipelines and craft automation scripts for build, test, deploy, and configuration tasks with Ansible
  • Set up and maintain secure development environments using local Vault development servers, Kafka containers, and TLS certificates
  • Conduct security audits and validate certificates to ensure system compliance
  • Document system architecture, operational procedures, and API details in runbooks and technical documentation


Requirements


  • 3+ years of experience in Go programming with expertise in goroutines, channels, context.Context, and Go modules
  • Experience in RESTful API design and implementation using Go frameworks like Gin or Echo
  • Background in security integration, including mTLS, crypto/tls, and the Vault Go SDK
  • Skilled in writing tests using Go’s testing package, testify for assertions, and mock libraries such as gomock
  • Familiarity with OpenTelemetry, Kafka clients in Go, and tools like swaggo for generating OpenAPI documentation
  • Competency in working with cryptographic libraries (crypto/tls, crypto/x509) and YAML parsing using gopkg.in/yaml.v3


Nice to have


  • Familiarity with advanced testing methodologies, including penetration and security testing
  • Background in integrating testing practices with CI pipelines
  • Understanding of end-to-end security auditing and validation processes
