The Opportunity
In This Role You Will
- Act as a senior-level professional responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of key project equipment.
- Apply your strong understanding of industry standards and engineering specifications related to critical infrastructure projects.
- Oversee the timely delivery, quality assurance, and successful startup and commissioning of Owner-Furnished Contractor-Installed (OFCI) equipment.
- Work closely with multiple vendors and stakeholders to coordinate the delivery and installation of essential plant and equipment.
- Manage a wide range of complex equipment typically used in large-scale construction projects, such as power distribution systems, automation controls, backup power systems, and mechanical units.
- Attend key meetings to monitor progress, actively collaborate on solving problems and communicate impacts to partners
- Be a visible leader onsite, assessing progress and ensuring safe work practices
- Coordinate with the client team, consultant team and the contractor on all snagging activities, including the schedule and partner engagement
- Identify issues proactively and work with the team to resolve effectively
- Have a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or demonstrated experience in a relevant role.
- Demonstrated experience managing construction for large, complex projects involving substantial mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems.
- A strong understanding of electrical and mechanical engineering principles.
- Experience managing client, general contractors and vendors, including equipment manufacturing, delivery logistics, RFPs, bidding processes, and change order management.
- Demonstrated experience working on international projects, with a solid understanding of cultural, diversity, and inclusivity considerations within large-scale program delivery.
