Senior Frontend Developer

My Client, a leading financial services firm in Dublin is actively looking for Front End Developer for a long term daily rate contract.

They are seeking skilled IT Software Developers to join their dynamic Digital & Technology team. As a key player in their Digital Delivery team, you'll be instrumental in driving the strategic ambitions of the company. You will develop and deliver technical solutions within a customer-centric culture, enhancing the experience and performance of our digital properties.

Role responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of digital customer and advisor journeys on our digital properties.
• Contribute to strategic planning activities, including scoping and sizing.
• Perform critical analysis and peer code reviews.
• Represent the team in workshops to ensure optimal solutions.
• Mentor and train team members as needed.
• Collaborate with business partners and third-party vendors.
• Challenge team standards and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Stay current with new skills and technologies.

Desired Knowledge / Experience / Skills

• BSc degree in Computer Science or a similar field.
• 6+ years of experience in full-stack development with a focus on React, Node.js, and TypeScript.
• Strong understanding of modern JavaScript frameworks and libraries, including and state management solutions.
• Experience with Chakra UI or similar component-based styling libraries.
• Proficiency in building RESTful APIs and handling JSON over REST data exchange.
• Strong understanding of UX principles and methodologies, including User-Cantered Design and Design Thinking.

Additional Experience (Optional):

• Experience with Azure cloud services and best practices for scalable applications.
• Knowledge of C# and .NET is a plus but not required for the primary role.
• Knowledge of SQL Server and databases is a plus but not required for the primary role.
