Job Opportunity: Software Engineer - Financial Engineering

Stelfox is collaborating with a client who work on a data -driven analytics platform for the finance industry and they are looking for a Software Engineer to join their team.

Responsibilities:

• Fit well in a small, fast-paced team and understand the needs of the team and clients
• Flexible attitude toward full stack development including data services and front-end visualizations
• Gather and understand business requirements and specifications.
• Contribute to bug fixes, testing and validation
• Follow best practices of software development including high coding standards, automated testing, documentation, code-reviews, etc.

Experience:

• Quantitative domains and data-rich environments. Strong attention to detail.
• Exposure to financial modelling
• Experience in the M365 or Power Platform suites for business (Power BI, Power Apps, Dynamics, etc...)
• Proficiency in at least one mainstream programming language (ideally Typescript)
• Good grasp of REST web services fundamentals
• Experience with OfficeJS Excel Addin as a nice plus
• Good computer science foundations including algorithms, data structures and clean software design
• Working in a Linux/Unix environment
• Git version control
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or relevant technical field is required.
