As an engineering project manager within the advanced cores group (ACG) you will be responsible for managing the development of advanced core technology and intellectual property (IP) to meet the requirements of our Aerospace & Defense Business Unit. You will work closely with engineers leading various functional aspects of system development projects, coordinating overall system development activities. You will be part of a large organization, collaborating with engineers at several locations globally.
Responsibilities/Duties
Collaborate with functional stakeholders such as program directors, hardware engineering, software development, applications, and manufacturing to develop a plan for ACG projects and disciplines that meets market requirements and internal company goals. Develop the execution plan for projects, ensuring accountability for building an overall project-level schedule, inter-dependencies between disciplines, staffing plan, risk analysis and mitigation plan, and budget. As an engineering project manager within the advanced cores group (ACG) you will be responsible for managing the development of advanced core technology and intellectual property (IP) to meet the requirements of our Aerospace & Defense Business Unit. You will work closely with engineers leading various functional aspects of system development projects, coordinating overall system development activities. You will be part of a large organization, collaborating with engineers at several locations globally.
Responsibilities/Duties
- Manage the project bounding box; schedule, scope, budget and staffing to ensure the project stays on track and within budgetary commitments.
- Continually evaluate project risks and take appropriate action to mitigate.
- Work with program managers to prioritize deliverables across all active and sustaining projects and customers.
- Coordinate communications to ensure alignment across all cross-functional teams, optimizing performance at a project level.
- Serve as the focal point for internal project communications. Compile regular project status for all stakeholders and effectively escalate critical issues and risks as necessary.
- Ensure the project is developed in compliance with specified internal, customer or industry standards, processes and procedures.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement by championing project management best practices and new methodologies within the ACG level.
- BS/MS Computer Engineering or BS/MS Electrical Engineering.
- Successful experience leading engineering teams, including successful experience with project responsibility.
- Strong interpersonal, communications, and organizational skills.
- Strong enthusiasm and productivity.
- Experience with IC product development from concept to release.
- Extensive project management experience.
- Experience with advanced CMOS RF/mixed-signal IC development.
- Experience with software development.
- Knowledge of RF wireless communication systems.
- Strong planning and organizations skills; must be able to set and manage priorities, adapt to change, drive progress of activities and deliverables to closure.
- Proficient with project management software and related tools including but not limited to MS Project, Confluence, Jira, Excel, Excel VBA.
