Global Product Owner

Job Overview

The Senior Product Owner - Decision Systems is a key leadership role within Decision Systems and responsible for leading the engagement with various stakeholders in Credit Risk, Product teams to support the business needs of implementing and deploying new strategies. On an annual basis, the decision systems team implements c. 100 changes and the role is crucial to manage the decisioning infrastructure, maintain an efficient deployment plan and influencing strategy deployment based on change runway, business priorities and resourcing capacity.

The role holder will be expected to collaborate with various teams and stakeholders including IT, Credit Risk & Products to manage both day to day activities & issues, and strategically manage the process to ensure that deployment is efficient while meeting high levels of quality and control specifications.

Responsibilities

Design and Development:

• Develop and implement decision management systems to support business operations.
• Design and optimize decision models and business rules to enhance decision-making processes.

Data Integration and Management:

• Integrate diverse data sources and ensure the quality and consistency of data within the DMS.
• Manage and maintain data pipelines and workflows to support decision models.

System Implementation and Support:

• Implement DMS solutions and ensure seamless integration with existing systems and processes.
• Provide ongoing support and maintenance for the decision management system.

Business Collaboration and Requirements Gathering:

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their decision-making needs and requirements.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and decision models.

Performance Monitoring and Optimization:

• Monitor the performance of decision models and systems, making necessary adjustments to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Conduct regular reviews and updates of decision rules and models to ensure they remain relevant and effective.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Create comprehensive documentation for decision models, rules, and system processes.
• Generate reports and dashboards to communicate system performance and decision outcomes to stakeholders.

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.

Experience

• Leadership & Collaboration: Proven skills of leading a team of senior analysts and people managers through both business-as-usual changes and complex projects. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with across various teams in IT, Credit Risk & Product. The Senior Product Owner must convey the vision clearly and align teams towards common goals.
• Technical Understanding: Proficiency in technology(ies) and capabilities used in credit decisioning such as 3rd party platforms (SAS, Experian, FICO, Python based Engines), API’s, enables effective collaboration with technical teams and contributes to more informed decision making
• Risk Management Framework: Proven success of establishing and/or managing a robust operational and risk management infrastructure in accordance with policy and regulatory framework, together with early identification and effective escalation and resolution of issues that arise, thereby fostering trust with team and stakeholders
• Financial Acumen: A deep understanding of credit assessment methodologies, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
• Senior stakeholder engagement/engagement is required.
