DevOps Engineer (AWS Cloud)

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in AWS Cloud services and a strong understanding of DevOps principles. As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for managing our cloud infrastructure, ensuring its reliability, scalability, and security, and automating processes to enhance our development and deployment pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Infrastructure Management: Design, deploy, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure on AWS, utilizing services such as EC2, RDS, and Elastic Load Balancing.
• Clustering and Database Management: Set up and manage RDS clusters, ensuring high availability and performance.
• API Management: Configure and manage API Gateway for secure and efficient API operations.
• Containerization: Deploy and manage containerized applications using ECS (Elastic Container Service).
• Serverless Architectures: Develop and maintain serverless applications using AWS Lambda.
• Security and Compliance: Implement and manage security groups, firewalls, and ensure compliance with security policies across the cloud environment.
• Automation: Automate infrastructure deployment, scaling, and management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and scripts.
• Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor system performance, identify potential bottlenecks, and implement optimizations to improve system efficiency.
• Collaboration: Work closely with development teams to integrate DevOps processes and ensure smooth CI/CD pipelines.
• Incident Management: Respond to and resolve technical issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience: 4+ years of experience in DevOps, with a focus on AWS Cloud services.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• AWS Services Knowledge: Strong experience with AWS services including EC2, RDS, API Gateway, ECS, Lambda, Elastic Load Balancing, and security management.
• Database Management: Proficient in managing RDS clustering and performance tuning.
• Programming: Experience in programming or scripting languages is a plus (e.g., Python, Bash).
• AWS Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or similar certifications are a plus.
• Tools: Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation), CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI), and monitoring tools (e.g., CloudWatch).
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Security: Knowledge of cloud security practices and tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or similar.
• Programming: Experience in software development or scripting to automate processes.
