Job Role Overview

At Horizon56, we believe that great design is at the heart of every meaningful product development. We're looking for a passionate and imaginative UX designer to join our growing product team, consisting of designers, researchers, product managers and subject matter experts. You will help us craft digital experiences that are intuitive, user focused and adopted on a global scale. In this role, you'll play a key part in shaping how our customers interact with our products — designing interfaces that improve usability, existing workflows and common processes within the oil and gas industry. You will collaborate most closely with fellow designers, but also be closely connected to product managers, subject matter experts and developers. We also provide our designers with ample opportunities to interact with our customers and users as we believe this is the foundation to building great products and services.

Job Role Responsibilities

· Create wireframes, interactive prototypes, user flows, and high-fidelity mockups to communicate design ideas effectively

· Create detailed documentation for handover of design for development

· Conduct user research, interviews, and usability testing to gain deep insight into user behaviours and needs

· Collaborate closely with customers, users, product managers and other stakeholders to understand requirements

· Iterate on designs based on feedback from users, stakeholders, and team members to continuously improve product usability

· Participate in regular design reviews, collaborative brainstorming sessions, and cross-functional workshops to foster a creative and engaging work environment

Required qualifications and Skills

· A minimum of 4+ years of experience in UX design, with a strong portfolio to showcase your work

· Proficiency in Figma

· Solid understanding of user-centered design principles

· Experience with wireframing, prototyping, and creating design specifications for development teams

· Ability to conduct user research, usability testing, and translate insights into design improvements

· Strong communication skills to articulate design concepts, rationale, and decision-making to stakeholders

· Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to shifting priorities

Working Location

This job requires the employee to work from the office location provided by Horizon56 in Stavanger. This will involve commuting to the office on a regular basis. It is important to note that the ability to work remotely or from a different location is not ruled out, but it is not the primary preference for this job. The purpose of this preference is to enhance and promote collaboration with team members and complete tasks efficiently.
