About the Role:

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Lead Fullstack Developer to join our team and support a strategic initiative within a leading financial institution. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of fullstack solution development, contribute to architectural decisions, and guide a team of developers in delivering scalable, high-performance applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of fullstack applications using Java (Spring Boot) and Angular (v9+).
• Collaborate with architects and product owners to define technical solutions and roadmap.
• Oversee cloud integration and development leveraging AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, EC2, and S3.
• Drive DevOps best practices through CI/CD pipelines utilizing Git, Jenkins, and Docker.
• Conduct code reviews, provide mentorship to junior developers, and uphold coding standards.
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and backlog grooming to ensure timely delivery of features.

Candidate Requirements (Must-Have):

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in fullstack development, with recent technical leadership responsibilities.
• Proficiency in Java (Spring Boot) and Angular (version 9 or higher).
• Practical experience with AWS cloud services, particularly Lambda, API Gateway, EC2, and S3.
• Solid knowledge of CI/CD tools and practices, including Git, Jenkins, and Docker.
• Demonstrated experience working in Agile delivery environments.
• Strong track record of mentoring developers and conducting technical reviews.

Location: Hybrid – 2 days onsite in Downtown Toronto, ON

Contract Duration: 12 months

Schedule: Monday to Friday, standard business hours
