Position Title: Network Administrator

Department: Network and Operations

Location: Acheson, Edmonton, Alberta – Onsite

Salary Range: $80,000 – $100,000 per year

Hours: Full-time, 35 hours/week (Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM MT), with after-hours support as needed

Job Overview

We're looking for a skilled Network Administrator to manage and support our IT systems, including networks, computers, phones, servers, and end-user devices. You’ll be the go-to person for IT support across multiple locations, helping users both remotely and onsite.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and respond to IT support requests
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues
  • Set up and maintain PCs, mobile devices, printers, and conferencing tools
  • Install and update software and system patches
  • Support onboarding/offboarding processes
  • Maintain inventory of IT assets and licenses
  • Document issues, fixes, and procedures
  • Manage LAN/WAN networks, firewalls, servers, and wireless systems
  • Maintain virtual environments (VMware, Citrix)
  • Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents

Requirements

  • 2-year diploma in IT or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of experience in corporate or managed IT services
  • 8+ years in network administration across multiple sites

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS, and Android
  • Familiarity with SaaS tools, cloud services (Azure, AWS, GCP)
  • Cybersecurity skills (incident response, vulnerability testing)
  • Certifications (e.g., A+, Network+, Security+, CCNA, Azure Administrator)
  • Experience with VMware, Citrix, SASE, MDM, Microsoft Intune
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Knowledge of ITIL practices
