Description

Robert Half is seeking an experienced Network Engineer with a strong background in network discovery, design, deployment, migration to support a professional services organization based in Seattle, WA.

Duration: 6-month contract (with potential to extend)

Location: Hybrid in Seattle, Washington

Schedule: Monday-Friday (8-5pm)

• Perform comprehensive network discovery and assessment to evaluate existing infrastructure and identify areas for improvement.
• Design robust and scalable network architectures that align with business goals and security standards.
• Lead and support the deployment of network solutions, including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and other core infrastructure components.
• Plan and execute network migrations, ensuring smooth transitions from legacy systems to new environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, security, and operations, to ensure successful implementations.
• Document network designs, configurations, and migration plans.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues as they arise during deployments and migrations.
  
  

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a Network Engineer or similar role.
• Proven experience with network discovery tools and techniques.
• Strong background in network design and architecture.
• Hands-on experience with network deployments across diverse environments.
• Experience planning and executing network migrations.
• Proficiency in working with networking hardware and protocols (Cisco, Juniper, TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, etc.).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.
