Role:Lead Cyber Risk Specialist – (EL1 Level)
Location of work: Canberra
Length of contract:12 months
Contract extensions: 24 months extension (two extensions of twelve months each)
Security clearance:Negative Vetting Level 1 security clearance
Key duties and responsibilities
• Research, develop and implement cyber technical solutions in a fluid environment.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of NCIS Cyber technical capabilities, including utilising legal, financial, asset, project, and risk management frameworks.
• Identify, test and assess applicable security controls in line with the Australian Government Information Security Manual and agency policies and guidelines.
• Analyse and document security risk and recommend treatments and modifications to security practices and procedures using expertise and technical knowledge.
• Educate and inform NCIS staff to promote understanding and ensure adherence to security policy and processes.
• Develop and maintain technical partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Contribute to the maintenance of computer networks and equipment and maintain process and continuity records as required.
• Work as part of a highly motivated small specialist technical team within the broader Specialist capabilities, managing resources and providing specialist outputs for the NCIS program.
