Product Owner, AI Platform

About The Role

We are looking for a product owner to define our AI platform and AI Agentic Framework. You are responsible for defining the platforms strategy and vision and ensuring successful implementation of the new platform within the organization.

You will act as a liaison between business units, development teams, and other technical experts, translating developer needs and business requirements into technical solutions.

You will participate in advancing the product vision and ensure that the platform aligns with OP Financial Group’s ICT architecture. Together with the team, you will support the platform's usage and optimization.

Our team works flexibly from the office in Vallila, Helsinki and we also utilize remote work flexibly according to OP's hybrid work model within Finland.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the vision and roadmap for the AI platform and AI Agent Platform, ensuring it meets the needs of various stakeholders within OP Financial Group.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, engineers, and business analysts, to define and prioritize features and enhancements.
• Work closely with AI teams within business segments to understand their needs and roadmap.
• Act as the primary point of contact for all AI platform-related initiatives, providing clear and actionable direction to the development team.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and data privacy standards.
• Communicate progress, challenges, and successes to senior management and other stakeholders.
  
  

More about the role and team

The Generative AI team focuses on bringing the latest AI capabilities to OP Financial Group. We already have our internal AI chat for in-house use, which serves our employees in their daily work. In the near future we are moving towards AI agents and agentic workflows. The team plays a significant role in shaping how Generative AI impacts OP Financial Group.

What we expect from you?

We are seeking a candidate who already has experience from Data Scientist work and related software development. You have a strong understanding of what creating AI products entails. Experience with Azure or LLMs (Large language models) would be considered as a plus. We also appreciate an understanding of deep learning and the ability to script for new data sources using Python. Ideally you should be skilled with Data Scientist’s toolkit and enthusiastic with agile software development. We understand that you might not have experience in all these areas just yet. What really matters is your motivation and willingness to learn and grow. In our team, we also appreciate taking initiative, strong teamwork skills, and a positive attitude. We also hope you can communicate clearly and understandably in English and/or Finnish.

Check-list

• Proven experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role, with a focus on AI products.
• Strong understanding of AI technologies and software development
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and tools.
• Fluency in English; proficiency in Finnish is a plus.
• Understanding the latest AI Agent capabilities is a plus.
  
  

You won't be working alone. Your will be closely interacting with both the people who use our data within the organization and the team responsible for putting these ideas into practice. A crucial part of your job will also be designing the actual product itself. This means defining the model, and deciding how users will interact with it. You won't be doing this alone either—you'll collaborate with a developer to make this design a reality, contributing to the entire process of putting it into action. This opportunity is available in either Helsinki or Oulu, based on your preference. Like the rest of OP, we work in a flexible manner, combining both office days and remote work.
