An innovative and well-established financial services organisation is looking for a Cloud Security Engineer to help shape the future of their cloud security function.

This is more than a technical role — it’s an opportunity to make a real impact across a multi-cloud, high-transaction environment where compliance, trust, and communication are critical. You’ll work across Azure, GCP, and OCI, with legacy AWS components being transitioned to Azure.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Assist on cloud security architecture, primarily across Azure, with some GCP and OCI.
  • Partner with IT and the business to assess and secure key cloud applications and infrastructure.
  • Assist in migrating and securing legacy applications into a newly structured cloud tenancy.
  • Ensure alignment with compliance frameworks like PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, and DORA (training provided if needed).
  • Contribute to automation and toolchain improvements using Terraform, Ansible, and multi-cloud security tools like Wiz.
  • Collaborate with an outsourced SOC and participate in an on-call rota (1 in 6 weeks).

What They’re Looking For

  • Proven experience with Azure cloud security services; GCP or OCI knowledge is a bonus.
  • Solid background in infrastructure or systems engineering.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Someone who is honest, grounded, and focused on delivering practical, effective solutions.

You’ll Stand Out If You Have

  • Exposure to or interest in PCI-DSS or other financial compliance standards.
  • Experience with Wiz or similar cloud security platforms.
  • Familiarity with scripting (PowerShell, Python) and a security-first approach to automation.
  • Certifications such as Azure Security Engineer Associate, CISSP, or other cloud security credentials (supported by the company).
