Mobile Developer

What you will do

Join a newly established team dedicated to delivering a high-impact feature within our mobile platform. The project is centered around adding a visual search capability to the existing customer journey in our Android and iOS apps.

As a Mobile Developer, you will:

• Extend our current mobile applications with camera-based search functionality.
• Integrate native OS features such as camera, gallery, and internal storage.
• Build intuitive UI components and animations to guide users through the new feature.
• Work with GraphQL APIs for backend communication.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders across multiple product teams to ensure codebase consistency and best practices.
• Rapidly prototype, test, and iterate on new functionalities while aligning with our development standards.
• Document technical solutions and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.

Work environment:

You’ll be part of a cross-functional team within a fast-paced, agile environment. The department works collaboratively across multiple product teams on a shared codebase. You will have access to onboarding support from codebase experts and align with in-house design and architecture standards.

What you’ll bring

Education:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

• At least 5 years of hands-on mobile development experience in professional settings.

Technical skills:

• iOS: Swift, SwiftUI, PhotosUI, UIImagePicker
• Android: Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Android SDK (camera, image-picker, internal storage)
• Apollo GraphQL client
• Familiarity with collaborative development and version control (Git)

Competencies:

• Strong problem-solving mindset
• Ability to work independently and take ownership
• Experience working in agile teams
• Comfortable with rapid development and prototyping
• Strong communication and documentation skills

Languages:

• Fluency in English (spoken and written)
• Dutch is a plus, but not required

This is a 12 months contract + extension
