For our client, a market leader in e-Commerce, we are urgently looking for hands-on Senior Backend Engineers to deliver scalable, high-performance solutions in a cloud-native microservices environment. This is a plug & play freelance role requiring deep technical expertise and autonomy from day one.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and optimize scalable, resilient microservices in a distributed system
• Write clean, testable, and production-ready Java/Kotlin code
• Collaborate across engineering, product, and design to refine technical solutions
• Embrace a DevOps culture: own what you build, monitor and improve services

Tech Stack:

• Languages: Java, Kotlin
• Architecture: Microservices, event-driven
• Cloud: AWS / GCP / Azure (flexible), Kubernetes, Docker
• CI/CD: GitHub, Jenkins, Terraform, etc.
• Testing: JUnit, TestContainers, MockK

Ideal Background:

• 5+ years backend engineering experience in complex systems
• Strong knowledge of system design, clean code, and testing best practices
• Prior work in financial services, fintech, or high-availability platforms is highly valued
