Backend Engineer - Document Verification & AML

About The Role

Are you an experienced Java engineer looking for a meaningful role in a dynamic environment? Join our Document Verification & AML team at LeoVegas Group, where you will play a crucial role in enhancing our document verification process and developing anti-money laundering features. Your work will ensure a seamless, secure, and enjoyable experience for our customers across all our brands.

In this position, you will focus on refining the document verification journey and enhancing our AML compliance. Our mission is to create a smooth verification journey as well as keeping our system secure from an AML perspective. We leverage data-driven insights and a robust CI/CD process, following the Kanban methodology to deliver high-quality solutions. You will work alongside expert back-end developers specialising in Java and Kotlin, as well as dedicated Quality Assurance Engineers.

YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

• Collaborating with the team to plan, execute, design, and test solutions for improving back-end functionalities.
• Integrating third-party solutions and enhance them with our own knowledge and skill in the domain
• Ensuring scalability and fault tolerance of systems through the implementation of microservices architecture.
• Utilizing Git/Github for version control and Jira for issue tracking.
• Building and maintaining complex systems to optimize performance and functionality.
  
  

OUR SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

Essential Skills

• 3+ years of experience with common Java frameworks like Spring and JPA.
• Proficiency in relational databases, particularly MySQL.
• Experience in building scalable and fault-tolerant systems with a focus on microservices architecture.
• Strong knowledge of version control using Git/Github and issue tracking with Jira.
• Demonstrated expertise in building complex systems and understanding their functionalities.
