Our team at Hi-D Imaging, in Winterthur (Switzerland) is currently looking for a
Deep Learning Engineer [80-100%] [f/m/d]
to support development and maintenance of the Hi-D Imaging Cardiovascular Suite platform.
We are looking for a Deep Learning Engineer who thrives in fast-paced environments, excels at solving complex challenges, and is passionate about leveraging AI/ML and traditional computer vision methods to develop new solutions in medical image analysis. You will join the development team behind the Hi-D Imaging Cardiovascular Suite, a cutting-edge platform advancing cardiac image analysis.
Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize deep learning models for cardiac image analysis and classification.
- Analyze large-scale medical imaging datasets to extract clinically relevant insights.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, document, and validate AI solutions.
- Leverage traditional computer vision techniques for medical image analysis.
- Develop end-to-end medical image analysis pipelines—from concept and design to implementation, validation, and deployment.
- Uphold best practices—Agile, code reviews, documentation, automated tests, and CI—to deliver robust, scalable, maintainable solutions.
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of design and validation documentation in compliance with medical software standards.
- Implement rigorous testing and quality assurance processes to ensure reliability, robustness, and performance.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or a related field.
- Strong experience with deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, Sklearn).
- Experience with traditional computer vision techniques (e.g., OpenCV, Scikit-image).
- Proven track record in medical image analysis and/or related AI/ML applications.
- Proficiency in Python. Experience with multiprocessing, and multithreading is a plus.
- Experience with C++ is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to cooperate with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and documentation practices in medical software development is a plus.
- Fluency in English.
