Internship Overview
This internship is an excellent opportunity for students in Computer Science or Telecommunications to gain hands-on experience in network protocol analysis, embedded development, software testing, and deep packet inspection technology. You will work closely with experienced engineers on real projects, contributing either on the development side or in testing and validation—depending on your interests and skills.
Responsibilities
As a Developer Intern, you may:
- Assist in protocol reverse engineering and traffic analysis.
- Support the design, development, and implementation of protocol plugins.
- Write clean and efficient C code in embedded Linux environments.
- Participate in the creation and execution of test plans and test cases.
- Automate test scenarios for DPI components and protocol plugins.
- Help analyze test results and debug reported issues.
- Document your work clearly and thoroughly.
- Collaborate closely with other team members in Bucharest, Craiova, and Paris.
- Learn and follow development/testing best practices in a professional environment.
You’ll be part of the DPI Development Team based in Bucharest and Craiova, closely collaborating with the DPI Development Center in Paris. You will be mentored by a local Team Manager and supported throughout the internship in both technical and professional development.
Qualifications
Education:
- Currently enrolled in 3rd or 4th year of a Bachelor's program in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related technical field.
- Comfortable working in Linux environments.
- Good command of English (spoken and written).
- Willingness to learn and take initiative.
- Knowledge of C or embedded C.
- Familiarity with network protocols and traffic analysis.
- Basic understanding of multithreading or algorithms.
- Scripting knowledge (Python, Bash, or Shell).
- Familiarity with test automation frameworks or tools.
- Understanding of software testing methodologies.
- Experience with Git or other version control systems.
- Ability to speak French.
- A structured internship with real tasks in development or testing (your choice).
- Hands-on experience with advanced DPI technologies used globally.
- Mentorship and technical guidance from experienced engineers.
