Senior C#/.NET Software Engineer (Backend Focus)

About the Role:

IPSOS DIGITAL is looking for a highly skilled Senior C#/.NET Software Engineer to join our expanding team at Data Liberation, an integral part of Ipsos Digital online solutions. You will play a key role in developing and maintaining idReporting, our web-based reporting solution used by over 1000 unique users each month, supporting many high-profile clients. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a high-impact platform within a rapidly growing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle, from design and development to testing and deployment.
• Contribute to the modernization of our codebase, addressing scalability and technical debt within the backend infrastructure.
• Proactively identify and address performance bottlenecks in the existing codebase to ensure scalability as the platform grows.
• Participate in technical discussions, offering best practices and innovative ideas, and implementing proof-of-concept projects as needed.
• Help us transition towards a DevOps culture by contributing to CI/CD pipelines and cloud engineering initiatives.
• Collaborate with the frontend developer for seamless integration between backend services and the user interface.
• Review existing code for performance optimization and ensure scalability to meet increasing user demand.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, providing support to end-users when necessary.
• Utilize Jira for task management and Azure DevOps for code management and deployment.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Senior Software Developer.
• Proficiency with C#.
• Experience designing web-services with C# and ASP.NET.
• Good knowledge of SQL Server.
• Good software architecture skills.
• Basic knowledge of JavaScript, jQuery, and Vue.js.
• Experience reviewing and refactoring existing codebases.
• Experience with Agile methodologies.
• Experience with back-end integrations (currently using .Net Framework 4.8 and in the future .net core).
• Good oral and written English communication skills.
• Proactive, open-minded, and eager to improve skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multinational team.

Bonus Points:

• Previous exposure to Market Research/survey data.
• Experience with statistics.
• Experience with Docker and containerization (we don’t yet).
• Experience with MSAL for authentication, IIS 10, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Aspose libraries.
