Product Manager - Tobacco

We are looking for a colleague responsible for defining and implementing the annual commercial strategy for the tobacco product category. The role will be part of the commercial team, and its purpose is to maximize sales and profit margin for the managed category.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and maintaining commercial relationships with the company’s partners;
  • Monitoring the evolution of contractual conditions, with a focus on purchase price trends and payment terms;
  • Actively participating in the budgeting and forecasting process for the category area;
  • Defining the role and strategy for each managed category/subcategory at channel & brand level;
  • Establishing the category structure: category segmentation and store clusters with similar offerings;
  • Defining, tracking, and regularly reviewing commercial plans and taking actions to achieve category objectives;
  • Analyzing and optimizing category performance, including key indicators such as stock rotation and sales per space;
  • Establishing, monitoring, and regularly reviewing the category’s sales pricing policy;
  • Assortment analysis to understand product-level performance, with the aim of improving it and making decisions on listings and delistings;
  • Preparing the weekly briefing with commercial actions to be implemented at store level;
  • Actively participating in the optimization of internal processes and store-level operations.


Requirements

  • Min 3–5 years of previous experience in a similar position;
  • Knowledge of product management/category management, marketing, or sales;
  • Advanced English level;
  • Microsoft Office – intermediate to advanced knowledge (with focus on Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Good numerical skills, ability to understand and interpret data, and use it in setting the commercial strategy for the product category;
  • Strong analytical skills and results-oriented mindset;
  • Works well and enthusiastically in a team;
  • Goal-setting and prioritization skills;
  • Resilience, autonomy, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously;
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills – comfortable in relationships with both external and internal partners.
