Junior Embedded Software Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated Junior Embedded Software Engineer to join a dynamic engineering team in Maastricht. In this role, you will support the development, testing, and maintenance of embedded software for innovative electronic products. Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the design, development, and debugging of embedded software for microcontroller-based systems
• Contribute to firmware and driver development using C/C++
• Participate in testing, validation, and documentation of embedded software
• Collaborate with hardware, software, and QA teams to ensure reliable system performance
• Support continuous improvement and troubleshooting of existing products

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
• Basic understanding of embedded systems and microcontroller architectures
• Experience with C/C++ programming (academic or internship-based)
• Familiarity with debugging tools, oscilloscopes, or logic analyzers is a plus
• Eagerness to learn and develop within a technical team
• Good communication skills in English; Dutch is a plus
