Project Management Officer

The Role

As a Project Management Officer (PMO), you will play a pivotal role in supporting the planning, execution, and governance of projects. Your goal will be to ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget, and in alignment with the organization's standards and strategic objectives. You will work across multiple stakeholders and provide structure, transparency, and control across various project initiatives—particularly within IT and digital transformation.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and ensure timely delivery of high-quality project reporting and portfolio updates.
• Monitor project, program, and portfolio budgets and resource allocations.
• Engage with a broad range of stakeholders, facilitating information sharing, risk and issue tracking, change management, and support processes.
• Organize and coordinate program-level events and planning activities.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, regular reports, statistics, and data management systems.
• Ensure quality assurance of project deliverables and compliance with governance standards.
• Manage the security and documentation of key project and portfolio materials, including decision logs and change records.
• Conduct analysis and provide insights to support executive and management decision-making.

Requirements

• A completed HBO or WO education (preferably in ICT or a related field).
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a PMO role, ideally in IT or digital transformation project in the Public Sector
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to perform under time pressure and effectively prioritize tasks.
• Demonstrated ambition to grow professionally and stay up to date with trends in project management and IT.
• A proactive team player who enjoys collaborative work environments.
• Fluency in both Dutch and English (written and verbal).
• Experience working in Agile project environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• PRINCE2 or PRINCE2 Agile certification.
• Certified Scrum Master (PSM I).
• Proficiency in MS Project and advanced Excel skills
