GE Aerospace has an advanced engineering center located in İstanbul, Kartal, complemented by cutting-edge laboratories in Kocaeli and Gebze. Role Overview

  • A first point of contact for employees & managers who provides leadership, coaching and support for individual employee needs & HR processes. For use in businesses that are operating in the HR Partnership Model.
  • Developing specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in own job discipline or field. Serves as best practice/quality resource. Has awareness of latest functional developments in own area. Contributes towards strategy and policy development, and ensures delivery within area of responsibility.
  • Skilled influencer, able to communicate complex messages to others. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
  • May lead small projects with moderate risks and resource requirements.
  • Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus. Developing persuasion skills required to influence others on topics within field.
  • Impacts approaches, projects and programs in the functional area or affected business organization and ways of working. Impacts quality, efficiency and effectiveness of own team.
  • Working within broad guidelines and policies, roles at this level have moderate autonomy, requiring high levels of evaluative judgment.
  • Uses judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems that impact the function. Takes new perspective on existing solutions. Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations.
  • Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is an experienced HR professional with a proven track record in leadership and human resources management. Fluent in Turkish and English, they excel in building trusting relationships, navigating complex environments, and ensuring compliance with local labor laws.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in related field
  • Proven professional experience in an HR Manager role is essential, demonstrating a strong track record of leadership and expertise in human resources management
  • Fluent in Turkish and English, both verbal and written
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high growth, fast paced environment
  • Experience building meaningful, trusting relationships and positive work environments
  • Self-motivated and assertive: ability to navigate complex or ambiguous environments, get answers, and autonomously drive solutions
  • Approachable and responsive resource able to connect with employees at all levels
  • Sound knowledge of local labor laws and government requirements
  • Desires employee-facing work; willingness to make horizontal moves to develop HR expertise
  • Applies solid judgment ensuring integrity, compliance, & confidentiality

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects.
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
