Leap29 are working with a leading player in the oil and gas industry, who are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join their team in Stavanger. This is a contract position with an initial 12-month term and strong potential for extension. You’ll be supporting ongoing projects across the offshore and onshore portfolio, working closely with multidiscipline teams to deliver safe, reliable, and efficient electrical systems.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, specification, and follow-up of electrical systems for offshore and onshore installations
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and client requirements
  • Contribute to the development of project documentation including electrical data sheets, load lists, and single line diagrams
  • Participate in design reviews, HAZIDs, and technical clarifications
  • Interface with vendors, fabricators, and other disciplines
  • Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and start-up
  • Support maintenance strategies and troubleshooting of existing systems


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally within the oil and gas sector
  • Experience with offshore projects is preferred
  • Proficient in electrical design tools such as EPLAN, AutoCAD, or similar
