Position Summary
We are seeking a Data/Analytics Engineering Analyst to join our client's health care team. In this role, you will build and support scalable data solutions for internal benchmarking and analytics reporting. Your focus will include pulling complex data sets from big data platforms, developing analytical datasets, and supporting strategic healthcare insights.

Position Summary
We are seeking a Data/Analytics Engineering Analyst to join our client's health care team. In this role, you will build and support scalable data solutions for internal benchmarking and analytics reporting. Your focus will include pulling complex data sets from big data platforms, developing analytical datasets, and supporting strategic healthcare insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain advanced analytical solutions and benchmarking reports using large-scale datasets.
- Design and execute data extraction strategies from platforms such as Cloudera and Hadoop.
- Use SQL, Python (Pandas/PySpark), and Spark to build clean, structured, and performant data pipelines.
- Work with data from disparate source systems and aggregate it into a centralized data lake environment.
- Translate complex analytical questions into actionable data queries and processes.
- Create and deliver clear, actionable insights to internal stakeholders and clients.
- Support the development of new data products and tools to meet evolving business needs.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with data governance, engineering, and business teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with analytics backend development and support.
- Strong SQL skills for complex querying across large data warehouses and lakes.
- Experience working with Hadoop, Cloudera, and Spark-based environments.
- Proficiency with Python, specifically pandas and PySpark, for data wrangling and transformation.
- Understanding of data flow architecture, hierarchies, and aggregation logic.
- Solid foundation in data analysis, statistics, and logic.
- Experience with Tableau or similar BI/reporting tools.
- Prior experience in healthcare analytics or HIPAA-regulated environments.
- Familiarity with administering Tableau environments is a strong plus.
- Knowledge of data governance and security best practices in large data platforms.
