Job Summary:
To lead and manage the IT function across the holding company and its diverse subsidiaries, ensuring reliable, secure, and efficient technology infrastructure and services that align with the group’s strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
IT Infrastructure & Operations
- Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of IT infrastructure including servers, networks, data centers, and cloud solutions.
- Ensure 24/7 availability, performance, and scalability of systems used by all subsidiaries (e.g., real estate, hospitality, retail).
Cybersecurity & Compliance
- Implement and maintain cybersecurity protocols to safeguard company assets.
- Ensure IT policies comply with Qatari laws and international data protection standards (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR).
Leadership & Team Management
- Manage and mentor the IT team; set goals, assign responsibilities, and evaluate performance.
- Foster a collaborative and responsive support culture within the team.
IT Strategy & Innovation
- Develop and execute a group-wide IT strategy aligned with business goals.
- Drive digital transformation initiatives such as ERP systems, cloud migration, and process automation.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers.
- Oversee procurement, contract negotiations, and licensing agreements.
Support & Service Delivery
- Ensure timely and effective technical support to internal users across all subsidiaries.
- Monitor helpdesk performance and maintain service level agreements (SLAs).
Budgeting & Reporting
- Develop and control the annual IT budget; ensure cost-effective procurement and operations.
- Prepare and present reports on system health, security, risks, and IT project progress to senior management.
Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery
- Develop and maintain comprehensive disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Regularly test system backups and recovery procedures.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 7+ years of progressive IT experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, cloud services, and cybersecurity.
- Experience in ERP, CRM, or other enterprise systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Fluent in English and Arabic.
