Switzerland · Full-time · Mid-Senior

CLEEVEN is a European consulting firm built around two core convictions:

  • The excellence of European engineers should drive global competitiveness.
  • Our human mission: to support our consultants in their personal and professional growth.

As part of a strategic data-driven transformation project for a major player in the pharmaceutical industry, we are recruiting a Data Scientist (M/F) to deliver impactful analytics, develop predictive models, and generate actionable insights across R&D, manufacturing, and commercial functions.

🎯 Role and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across departments (clinical, regulatory, manufacturing, etc.) to translate business needs into data problems
  • Design and develop predictive models and statistical analyses to support decision-making in a GxP-compliant environment
  • Clean, structure, and enrich datasets from multiple sources (internal systems, sensors, third-party databases, etc.)
  • Apply machine learning and AI techniques (classification, clustering, regression, NLP) to real-world pharmaceutical challenges
  • Contribute to data product development: build reusable models, pipelines, and visual outputs
  • Partner with Data Engineers to ensure robust, scalable, and compliant deployment of data science solutions
  • Communicate results and recommendations clearly to non-technical stakeholders through reports, dashboards, and presentations

🧠 Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Data Scientist, ideally in a regulated or scientific environment
  • Solid knowledge of machine learning, statistics, and data wrangling techniques
  • Proficiency in Python (pandas, scikit-learn, numpy, etc.), and tools like Jupyter, MLflow or similar
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, or Plotly Dash)
  • Good understanding of data governance and compliance in pharma (GxP, ALCOA+, FAIR principles) is a strong plus
  • Familiarity with pharma-specific domains like clinical trials, manufacturing processes, or real-world evidence is appreciated
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally

👤 Profile

  • Master's degree or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Statistics, or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in applied data science
  • Curious, rigorous, business-oriented, and able to explain complex models in simple terms
  • Fluent in English; German or French is a plus
