AI Engineer

AI Futures are supporting a global enterprise embarking on an exciting new chapter—expanding into the German market for the first time. As part of this strategic initiative, we’re looking for Lead AI Engineer who will lead the development of AI & Data products for DAX40 clients. You will play a key part in scaling and growing the organisations presence in Germany.

This role is ideal for a hands-on, client-facing professional who combines deep technical expertise in artificial intelligence with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and guide enterprise-level transformation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and deployment of AI/ML solutions across a variety of industries and use cases, from proof-of-concept to production.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to client executives and technical teams, providing strategic insight into the application of AI to solve critical business problems.
• Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and business analysts to define solution architecture and implementation plans.
• Oversee the end-to-end AI lifecycle, including data ingestion, model training, validation, deployment, and monitoring.
• Drive the adoption of best practices in MLOps, scalable infrastructure, and model governance.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers and consultants; help scale internal AI capabilities and delivery frameworks.
• Stay up to date with advancements in AI and contribute to thought leadership and innovation initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience in software engineering or data science, with at least 3 years in a lead or senior AI engineering role.
• Proven experience designing and implementing production-grade machine learning systems.
• Deep proficiency in Python and ML libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, and Hugging Face.
• Strong cloud engineering skills (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and experience with containerized solutions (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with MLOps tools such as MLflow, Kubeflow, SageMaker, or Vertex AI.
• Ability to engage with both technical and non-technical C-Level stakeholders in a consulting environment.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, or a related field (PhD is a plus).
• German speaking is a hard requirement
