Associate AI Specialist
📍 Cork, Ireland (Hybrid – must be within commutable distance)
Ready to shape the future of AI in a company where your growth truly matters?
At Blancco Technology Group, we’re seeking a curious and driven Associate AI Specialist to join our Cork-based team and be part of our exciting journey at the intersection of innovation, sustainability, and digital security.
This is not just another tech role. This is an opportunity to apply your AI knowledge in real-world applications, develop your skills alongside a world-class engineering team, and do it all in an inclusive, collaborative culture where everyone genuinely wants to see you succeed. If you’re eager to learn, grow, and have a meaningful impact, read on.
About the Role
As an Associate AI Specialist, you’ll play a hands-on role in developing and implementing cutting-edge AI solutions to support and enhance our global suite of data erasure and mobile diagnostics products. You’ll collaborate with experienced engineers, product managers, and data scientists across the business to bring ideas to life, turning algorithms and code into tangible, secure, and scalable features.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Designing, developing, and deploying AI models and algorithms that solve real business challenges.
- Working closely with data engineers and scientists to prep, clean, and explore large datasets.
- Experimenting with new tools and frameworks, choosing the right tech for each problem.
- Keeping your finger on the pulse of new AI developments and bringing fresh thinking to the team.
- Contributing to scalable AI-powered applications across cloud, embedded, and desktop platforms.
- Writing clean, efficient Python code (and perhaps some C++ or Java) and using the likes of Git, Linux, and open-source libraries.
- As you grow, mentoring others and shaping a learning-focused environment will be part of your path too.
What You’ll Bring
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or similar.
- Experience building and training AI/ML models, ideally in Python.
- Solid grasp of common AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
- Exposure to Linux, C/C++, and experience with version control systems like Git.
- Familiarity with databases (DynamoDB, MySQL) and cloud platforms is a plus.
- An eagerness to learn, collaborate, and share – we care as much about your mindset as your skillset.
Why Blancco?
We’re proud to be recognised as a global leader in data security, and we’re equally proud of the culture we’ve built here. At Blancco, we:
- Foster inclusion – every voice matters, and diverse perspectives make us stronger.
- Support your growth – through professional development plans, mentorship, and hands-on learning.
- Celebrate collaboration – you’ll work with peers and leaders who are generous with their time, knowledge, and encouragement.
- Offer a competitive salary and benefits, an active sports and social club, and a friendly, modern office in the heart of Cork city centre.
⚠️ Please note:
You must already reside within a commutable distance to our Cork office and be fully eligible to live and work in Ireland. Unfortunately, we are not in a position to sponsor visas for this role.
