3 month contract based in Dubai

Job Summary:

As a Visual Designer, you will be responsible for crafting visually compelling, user-friendly digital experiences. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and UX researchers, to create designs that not only look great but are also rooted in usability and best practices. The ideal candidate has a strong portfolio showcasing design systems, user interface design, and a deep understanding of user-centric design principles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Competitor & Heuristic Analysis:
• Conduct competitor research and heuristic analysis to inform design decisions and identify best practices in the industry.
• Translate research findings into actionable insights to optimize user interfaces and visual design strategies.
• Design System Build:
• Develop and maintain a cohesive design system that ensures consistency across all digital products and platforms.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure seamless implementation of the design system.
• Usability Testing & User Research:
• Plan and conduct usability testing sessions, interviews, and surveys to gather user feedback and insights.
• Synthesize research data to create user personas and define user journeys, driving user-centered design solutions.
• Information Architecture & User Flows:
• Create sitemaps, information architecture (IA), and user/task flows to facilitate smooth and intuitive navigation through digital products.
• Collaborate with UX designers to optimize user pathways and enhance the overall user experience.
• Wireframing & Prototyping:
• Develop wireframes, sketches, and rapid prototypes to illustrate design concepts and test user interactions.
• Use tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or Axure RP to create high-fidelity prototypes and detailed user interface designs.
• User Interface Design & Animation:
• Design intuitive and aesthetically pleasing user interfaces that align with the brand's visual identity.
• Incorporate UI animations and micro-interactions to enhance user experience and engagement.
• Collaboration & Handoff:
• Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure a seamless design-to-development process.
• Use tools like Zeplin and Overflow to effectively communicate design specifications and facilitate a smooth handoff to the development team.
• HTML & CSS (Basic):
• Utilize basic HTML and CSS knowledge to understand the technical feasibility of designs and collaborate effectively with front-end developers.
• Apply this knowledge to adjust and fine-tune designs during the development phase.
• AI Tools Integration:
• Explore and integrate AI tools to enhance design processes, improve productivity, and create innovative design solutions.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Design Tools: Proficiency in Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, Axure RP, Zeplin, and Overflow.
• Design Systems: Experience in building and maintaining design systems for large-scale digital products.
• User Research: Strong knowledge of usability testing, heuristic analysis, and user research methodologies.
• Prototyping & Wireframing: Demonstrated ability to create wireframes, prototypes, and detailed UI designs.
• HTML & CSS: Basic understanding of HTML and CSS to facilitate better collaboration with developers.
• Animation & Interaction: Knowledge of UI animation principles and experience in incorporating micro-interactions into the design.
• Analytical & Communication Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to clearly communicate design rationale and user research findings to stakeholders.
• AI Tools: Familiarity with AI tools and their application in enhancing design workflows

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices.
