We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Bioinformatician to join our team. As a new team working at the intersection of synthetic biology, genomics and machine learning, we seek to develop innovative approaches in advancing the field of bioinformatics and protein structure using large language models. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computational biology, programming, and a keen interest in protein structure and language models. Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement state-of-the-art algorithms and models for protein structure prediction and analysis.
  • Utilize deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow to design and train novel protein language models.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate bioinformatics methods into biological research projects.
  • Analyze and interpret high-throughput biological data, including next-generation sequencing and structural biology data.
  • Contribute to the development of software tools and pipelines for protein structure prediction and analysis.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in bioinformatics, machine learning, and protein structure prediction methods.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor/Master's degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.
  • Proficiency in molecular visualization software, preferably PyMOL, for protein structure analysis.
  • Demonstrated interest in protein structure and protein language models, with a focus on applying computational methods to solve biological problems.
  • Familiarity with natural language processing and language models is a significant advantage.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to present complex findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Previous research experience in bioinformatics, computational biology, or related fields is highly desirable.
