Back End Developer

Our Client a well known Investment Bank is seeking a Java Back End Developer in their St Petersburg Florida Location!

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Analyze system requirements and identify program interactions and interfaces between components and subsystems.

Recommend development of new code or reuse of existing code where appropriate.

Suggest new technologies and methodologies to management to meet business needs, resolve issues, and seize opportunities.

Stay current with emerging technologies.

Participate in software system testing, validation procedures, programming, and documentation.

Provide technical advice and assist in solving programming issues.

Ensure comprehensive problem analysis to prevent rework and delays.

Work on bug resolution and continuous improvement of applications (performance, maintainability).

Actively participate in team discussions, design decisions, and front-end development planning.

Contribute to and possibly lead project management efforts, including task assignments, coordination, and performance monitoring.

Skills & Qualifications:

5+ years of full stack development experience using Java, J2EE.

Strong working knowledge of:

Spring Framework and Spring Boot

ORM (Hibernate preferred)

Cache implementations

5+ years of experience writing advanced database queries in PL/SQL and using Oracle database functions.

Experience with MongoDB, Python, and containerization technologies is a plus.

Proven expertise in:

Project management

Enterprise implementation

Application development

Strategic planning and change management

Leadership and business acumen

Ability to create and review technical documentation, flowcharts, and system specifications.

Familiarity with software testing processes and project management tools.

Preferred Experience:

12+ years of overall experience in software development or related roles.
