Cyber Security Analyst (Qatar)

We are looking for Cyber Security Analyst (L1) team members to join our Security Operations Center (SOC) at our Barikat Qatar office to support a key client.

The Ideal Candidate

• is graduated from Computer Engineering or related field,
• has at least 1 year of experience in information security or is eager to develop in this field,
• preferably holds one or more of the following certifications: GMON, CSA+, GCED, OPSA, CCNA Cyber Ops, or GCDA,
• is proficient in SIEM/EDR/SOAR products,
• has experience, preferably in level-1 security analysis or security monitoring,
• is knowledgeable in system and/or web application vulnerabilities and risk assessment methodologies such as CVSS or OWASP,
• has an excellent command of English (this is a must-have qualification),
• is able to adapt to a shift-based working system,
• willing to relocate to Qatar.

Key Responsibilities

• Working during the hours specified in the SOC Shift Schedule approved by the Unit Manager,
• Ensuring that services provided in the SOC are executed within the framework of agreements signed with clients,
• Conducting monitoring activities for information systems in line with service scope, including availability, security, and performance parameters,
• Conducting Level-1 analysis by investigating suspicious activities and alarms, and reporting within SLA timeframes,
• Forwarding data that could be used to generate Cyber Threat Intelligence for further analysis by the relevant team,
• Providing training and mentoring for new security analysts,
• Contributing to technical and project management efforts for SOC-related projects,
• Preparing and updating necessary documentation for SOC,
• Being proficient in all project-related documents, such as Project Management Documents, Specifications, Contracts, etc., for each client and executing project activities accordingly,
• Offering suggestions and contributing to the development of services in line with the principle of continuous improvement.
