AI Software Engineer Intern

As we develop an enterprise-wide data and digital strategy that moves us toward greater focus on the use of data and strengthen our digital, AI capabilities, we are seeking a AI Software Engineer Intern. In this role, you will research and apply software development best practice and latest technology to design, develop, and deliver AI products to yield a significant business benefit, build our competitive advantage, and help differentiate in the market through execution on innovation.

What you’ll be doing

What will your essential responsibilities include?

• Develop software applications for AI projects
• Deliver new AI features by collaborating with data scientists, frontend developers, product managers
• Ensure high-quality software delivery by conducting code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting
• Improve application performance in agile manner, focusing on low latency, high availability, and system efficiency
• Document code and software architecture for future reference and maintenance
• Instill a customer-first attitude on the team, prioritizing service for our business stakeholders above all else
  
  

In this role, you will report to the Division Lead, Data Science and AI Excellence.

What you’ll bring

We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or related fields
• Demonstrate proficiency in Python, Java, and/or other languages.
• Demonstrated capabilities in building, and maintaining high-performance applications
• Expertise in frameworks like Django, Flask, or FastAPI
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and distributed systems
• Robust analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills, capable of translating complex technical concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences.

The U.S. base salary range for this position is USD 23/hour.

Actual pay will be determined based upon the individual’s skills, experience and location. We strive for market alignment and internal equity with our colleagues’ pay.
