Job Description

The key responsibilities for this role:

Collaborate with stakeholders to design, document, and present complex software solutions for leadership endorsement.
Define and deliver business-critical applications, ensuring they meet specifications and requirements.
Develop, test, and support cloud-based software components using advanced technologies.
Support junior developers, assisting in design, delivery, and conducting regular code reviews.
Improve coding standards and practices, contributing positively to team engagement and development culture.
Design and implement monitoring solutions, ensuring smooth operation of production environments.
Prepare and validate change documentation, supporting deployment across environments and attending occasional release windows.
Ensure security compliance, aligning solutions with industry best practices and organisational policies.
Analyse and resolve complex technical issues, diagnosing software defects in large integrated systems.
Make informed technical recommendations, balancing cost, speed, and long-term support impacts.

The Successful Applicant

A Successful Candidate Should Have

Proven experience in backend development.
Strong proficiency in Python programming.
Proven expertise in AWS, deploying and operating complex software applications.
Proficiency with Git, GitHub Actions, and IDEs like PyCharm for efficient development.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, tackling challenges in fintech innovation.
Excellent communication skills, translating technical concepts for diverse audiences..
Desirable: AWS certifications, experience with FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, Postgres, event-driven applications, forecasting, and fintech expertise.
