Principal Software Engineer (PHP/Node) – $200k+Super+20% Bonus - Sydney (Hybrid)

An established, high-growth business with a large digital footprint is looking for a Principal Software Engineer to help lead the next stage of their technical evolution. With millions of active users and a platform handling significant traffic and complexity, this is a key role for a seasoned engineer ready to influence both technology and team direction.

Salary: 200k+ 20% Bonus + Super

Location: Sydney - 2-3 days in office

What You Bring:

• Strong experience in system design, architecture, and leading complex engineering initiatives.
• Hands-on skills with modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Next.js, Nest.js, Express.js) and solid understanding of backend technologies (PHP or similar).
• Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, Postgres, Redis, DynamoDB).
• Exposure to cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred), deployment pipelines, and tools like Terraform or Kubernetes.
• A balance of deep technical ability and strong communication/leadership skills.
