Job Role: DevOps OpenShift Engineer

Job Type: Contract

Location: Brisbane

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of engineers, providing hands-on technical direction and fostering a high-performance culture.
• Act as the go-to expert for L3 and L4 troubleshooting, resolving critical issues across OpenShift environments with speed and precision.
• Drive the implementation of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices to streamline application delivery.
• Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and proactively implement improvements.
• Conduct root cause analysis for major incidents and develop robust mitigation strategies.
• Manage infrastructure requirements and ensure minimal disruption during software releases.
• Handle escalations from internal and external stakeholders, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
• Promote continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and technical excellence within the team.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven hands-on experience with OpenShift v3, v4, ROSA, or ARO (minimum two technologies).
• Demonstrated expertise in advanced troubleshooting of cloud-native platforms and containerized environments.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience guiding technical teams through complex projects.
• In-depth knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.
• Solid understanding of DevOps tools, automation frameworks, and infrastructure as code.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and security tools used in enterprise environments.
