About the opportunity

Join a high-performing data team within a niche, retail and specialist underwriting agency (MGA). This role is central to measuring success, spotting opportunities, and telling compelling stories through data. You’ll work at the intersection of underwriting, actuarial, technology and business, turning complexity into clarity through best-in-class reporting and visualisation.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain interactive dashboards and reports (Power BI / Tableau)
  • Deliver clear, accurate, and timely performance reporting (monthly, quarterly, annual)
  • Analyse data to surface trends, risks, and opportunities that inform business strategy
  • Turn raw datasets into compelling visual narratives for executive stakeholders
  • Improve and automate data flows in partnership with the Tech team
  • Support ongoing uplift of data governance, integration, and literacy across teams


Skills and Qualifications:

  • 4–5 years’ experience in data analytics or BI roles, with a proven track record delivering insights on large-scale, complex data projects.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, Power BI and/or Tableau, and Excel, with hands-on experience building interactive dashboards and automated reports.
  • Strong analytical mindset with a keen eye for pattern recognition, data accuracy, and translating raw data into clear business insights.
  • Demonstrated ability to simplify complex datasets into compelling visual narratives for executive and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Exposure to modern data environments and tools; Python or similar scripting experience is a plus.
  • Excellent communicator and collaborator, with a commercial mindset, strong initiative, and a passion for data quality and governance.
