Artificial Intelligence Engineer

The Role:

• Design and implement robust, low-latency inference services for image processing and AI-driven data extraction.
• Lead the development of scalable pipelines that span from S3 image loading to CV/ML model inference and LLM response generation.
• Optimize the performance of machine vision models and inference systems.
• Deploy, monitor, and manage services in AWS ECS/EKS, Lambda, and Dockerized environments.
• Collaborate with our mobile, backend, and dashboard teams to deliver seamless AI-powered analytics.
• Ensure high visibility, logging, and monitoring of the pipeline to maintain reliability and performance.
• Influence technical roadmaps, making decisions that ensure scalability as our customer base grows.

Requirements:

• Several of experience in backend engineering or ML/AI infrastructure roles.
• Strong Python skills, plus the ability to contribute to Node.js backends as needed.
• Proven experience in building and scaling production-grade Computer Vision (CV) or ML inference pipelines.
• Expertise in AWS services including S3, ECS/EKS, Lambda, SQS, CloudWatch.
• Familiarity with GPU infrastructure (e.g., EC2 GPU, Kubernetes + GPUs).
• Solid understanding of asynchronous processing, event-driven architectures, and queue-based workflows.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment where balancing speed and technical debt is essential.
