Junior Network Support Engineer

Summary:

The role of the Network Support Engineer is pivotal in safeguarding the integrity and security of digital infrastructure, ensuring that operations meet their mission efficiently and reliably.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the full lifecycle of digital certificates.
  • Administer and maintain Linux environments (Red Hat, Debian).
  • Implement security systems across Microsoft platforms.
  • Manage enterprise network infrastructure including firewalls and VPN gateways.
  • Develop automation scripts using PowerShell or Python.

Key Requirements:

  • Equivalent of junior level or higher experience in Network Support or IT security.
  • Qualifications in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or related fields.
  • Experience with Linux environments (specifically Red Hat and Debian).
  • Proficiency in network security tools including Checkpoint and Cylance.
  • Fluency in English language.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Azure certificate infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of scripting for automation (PowerShell or Python).
  • Previous work in public sector IT environments.

Other Details:

  • Location: Wexford, Onsite with hybrid flexibility.
  • Contract start date: July 2025.
