We are in search of a talented researcher/machine learning specialist to join our team as a Data Scientist with a focus on Large Language Models (LLM). The ideal candidate will possess a high level of proficiency in data science and demonstrate a strong emphasis on leveraging large language models. This person should have a deep technical understanding of machine learning, complemented by solid programming skills. We expect you to be autonomous and able to learn. Be ready to regularly learn new things (methodologies, technologies, domains) and adapt to a fast-moving environment

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement cutting-edge machine learning algorithms and models, with a specific emphasis on large language models incl. agents, fine-tuning, new transformers-based architectures.
  • Stay updated and share advancement on the state of the art.
  • Participate in local academic partnerships, and ideally develop and drive them.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to (a) share expertise and advice, and (b) implement some of the advanced solutions developed to solve complex business challenges.
  • More generally, contribute to the innovation and advancement of machine learning capabilities within the organization.
  • While not mandatory, experience in insurance and/or financial services will be considered a valuable asset.
  • A solid background as a researcher and/or data scientist, or a strong interest in technical excellence and machine learning innovation.
  • In-depth knowledge of machine learning, deep learning and data science is mandatory. In-depth knowledge of natural language processing and in particular large language models is highly appreciated.
  • Exposure to the LLM’s ecosystem and associated frameworks.
  • Proficiency of Python, Jupyter Notebook and popular neural network frameworks (Tensorflow and/or PyTorch), along with a good understanding of software engineering principles.
  • Experience in training Machine Learning models on large data sets.
  • Open to continuous improvement of Data Science skills: we are seeking individuals who thrive in a dynamic and evolving environment, where learning and embracing new challenges are essential. The ideal candidates should demonstrate a strong willingness to continuously expand their knowledge, adapt to new technologies, and take on diverse and evolving responsibilities.

  • Languages: English (mandatory) and French (appreciated).
