Java Developer

emagine is looking for a Java Developer with experience of Guidewire and from the financial/insurance sector.

Overview:

To ensure we fill all competence gaps in our Guidewire development teams this is not a

traditional Guidewire development assignment, we want a modern engineer who can drive

test automation, continuous delivery, and engineering excellence across the squad. You

will help evolve our technical stack, bring in new practices such as feature toggling and

CI/CD, and enable your teammates to deliver quality at speed.

Qualifications:

• Strong experience in Java development, ideally with Guidewire or similar platforms
• Proven track record in driving test automation (unit, contract, integration, subsystem, E2E) and CI/CD adoption
• Practical experience implementing feature toggling/flags in standard tools like LaunchDarkly
• Familiarity with modern DevOps, cloud, and infrastructure as code is a plus (IaC)
• Experience with Guidewire, or Gosu is an advantage
• Excellent problem-solving, mentoring, and communication skills
• Passionate about raising engineering standards and enabling others
• Fluent in English, proficiency in Swedish is an advantage
