Senior iOS Engineer | Long-Term Contract at Major Australian Bank

• Location: Melbourne, Hybrid Working
• Day Rate: $900-$950/day
• Contract: 6 Months (Possible rolling contract)

About the Role:

We’re seeking a seasoned Senior iOS Engineer to join the digital innovation team of a major Australian banking corporation. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of banking for millions of Australians, driving the mobile experience forward with cutting-edge technologies.

You’ll work alongside cross-functional teams of developers, designers, and product specialists, leveraging your expertise to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable solutions. This role offers a blend of hands-on technical challenges and opportunities to influence best practices within a collaborative, growth-focused environment.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Developing and maintaining high-quality iOS applications using Swift, SwiftUI, and Objective-C.
• Collaborating with product managers, UX/UI designers, and other engineers to create seamless, user-friendly, and innovative banking features.
• Ensuring the security, performance, and reliability of the mobile app by applying best practices in code quality, architecture, and testing.
• Driving improvements in codebase, architecture, and overall engineering practices through mentoring and knowledge-sharing with the wider team.
• Identifying and implementing solutions for complex problems, balancing user experience, technical scalability, and compliance requirements.

About You:

You’re a Senior iOS Engineer with a strong understanding of mobile application development in fast-paced, high-stakes environments like finance or e-commerce. With a passion for technology and an eye for quality, you’re committed to building applications that set the standard for user experience and performance.

Key Skills & Experience:

• Extensive experience in iOS development (7+ years) with expertise in Swift, SwiftUI, and Objective-C.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments, with a team-focused mindset.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code and guide others in the same.
