Our tech team is growing, and we are seeking an enthusiastic Product Manager to drive realisation of the product strategy.

About the job
As a Product Manager for our Real-Time Account-to-Account Payments team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of instant financial transactions. You will be responsible for driving the development and execution of innovative payment solutions that enable seamless, secure, and efficient money transfers.
Key responsibilities
- Drive the vision and strategy definition, project prioritization, roadmap generation, and key results creation for assigned product areas
- Seek out guidance and generate buy-in from colleagues — inside and outside of the product area — to ensure priorities align between product and company vision & strategy
- Clarity on how features delivered positively impact marketability and monetisation of Azupay's product suite
- Collect, analyse, and apply insights from various sources to inspire and inform product decisions
- Lead hypothesis-driven research and experimentation
- Seek opportunities to meet clients and prospects, develop deep understanding of customer needs to become the internal champion of the customer need
- Prioritise requirements and define scope and phasing to iterate towards end user value
- Draft user stories including acceptance criteria for product features
- Work with UX designer to help create innovative and easy to use user interface.
- Work closely with the engineering team to facilitate development of new product features.
- Update relevant stakeholders on their team's progress toward strategic key results — clearly communicating confidence-levels, reasoning, and actions being taken to increase the certainty of achieving them
- Work with available support to ensure customer insight is obtained appropriately throughout the product lifecycle, from initial ideation all the way to end of life.
- Support product launches and marketing activities by providing product information and materials.
- Coordinate testing and acceptance of new features.
What you offer
- 2+ years' experience working as a business analyst, product owner or product manager in the financial services industry
- 2+ years’ experience in product or tech teams in an agile environment
- Strong communication skills
- Strong proficiency in authoring features and user stories, backlog grooming, prioritisation, sprint planning and release management activities
- Knowledge of the payments industry in Australia preferable
- Understanding of significant aspects of technologies, business models, and regulations relevant for the payments industry preferable
- Familiarity with the New Payments Platform (NPP), PayID and preferably PayTo
- Knowledge of legacy payment methods
- Understand of APIs, particularly in a payments context.
- Desire to have an impact, to be involved in making something we all do every day different and better
