Product Designer

Betashares has recently launched Betashares Direct, a new wealth platform designed to help Australians access direct ETF investing and Superannuation. Betashares Direct was created specifically for self-directed retail investors and is carefully designed to simplify every stage of the investment process. Currently, investors benefit from zero brokerage ETF investing, low-cost access to professionally constructed portfolios.

As a Mid or Senior Product Designer at Betashares, you play a vital role in solving meaningful customer problems and delivering a world class Superannuation experience within Betashares Direct. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the design team, product and technology leads to create solutions that drive exceptional outcomes for both the customer and the business.

Role Responsibilities

• Deliver an interactive and engaging user experience within the Superannuation and design teams.
• Manage usability risks to ensure a user-focused design.
• Work closely with product managers and engineers to align with customer outcomes.
• Iterate on product design within the existing design system to enhance user experience.
• Collaborate with internal financial services experts to gather insights and feedback.
• Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, enhancing your knowledge of financial services.
• Actively contribute to developing a world-class Superannuation experience.
• Optimise user activation, retention, and engagement for the Superannuation product.
• Partner with product and technology leads to foster a world-class product culture.
• Work with the design team to ensure seamless integration of Superannuation solutions into Betashares Direct.
• Contribute to the existing design system, Figma source of truth, and design processes.
• Maintain and evolve the design system to ensure consistency and scalability.
• Adapt the design system to meet the evolving product needs of Superannuation.
  
  

Skills & Experience

• Demonstrated experience across all phases of product design, with a focus on delivering user-centric solutions for web and mobile.
• Experience in developing and launching new products to market is highly valued.
• Proficient in creating user experiences using wireframes, user flows, and intuitive UI designs.
• Proven ability to produce high-quality design deliverables and create interactive prototypes that effectively convey design concepts and interactions.
• Figma experience is essential for maintaining design systems and creating seamless user interfaces.
• Skilled in articulating complex design concepts clearly and concisely.
• Strong ability to actively listen, address concerns, and incorporate feedback, building collaborative relationships with senior stakeholders.
• A strong interest in investment is essential, with prior knowledge or experience in the investment or superannuation sectors highly preferred.
